Music by The Piano Brothers

Christopher James Klimkoski, 52, of New Haven, former Terryville resident, passed away Feb. 1, 2020.  Chris was born Aug. 9, 1967 in Langley, VA.  He is survived by his loving parents, Gary and Carol (Shovlin) Klimkoski; his brothers, Steven and Jon; his nephew, Alex Klimkoski; his aunt Sandra and uncle James Klimkoski, and his cousins Tracy, Katie and Jenna Klimkoski.  He was predeceased by his grandparents, Catherine and Peter Klimkoski and Wanda and Dennis Shovlin.  He impacted many people with his sense of humor, a good joke, with a few pranks thrown in here and there. He loved music, especially drums and was an avid cook.  No matter what job he did, he did it with diligence and precision.  He was a caring person and would be there if you needed a hand.  He was a big Yankee and Cowboy fan.  He shall forever be in our hearts.  A memorial service will be held 11AM on Friday Feb. 7, 2020 at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville.  Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Terryville.  Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home Friday morning from 9AM until the time of the service at 11AM.  www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Klim
My thoughts, prayers and condolences to you and the entire Klimkoski family! Chris was and will forever be an enormous part of my most favorite memories growing up in Terryville! Chris left a mark on all those he touched and I think most everyone would agree brought an enormous amount of laughter to just about any situation! I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to know and be a small part of Chris' life.

Warmest regards,
Vono

To Chris's family, so sorry for your loss. I played in a band with Chris in the early 1990's in New York City, and have good memories of playing and working with him. He was a great drummer, very smart and funny guy, and a great band mate. God speed. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Dear Mr and Mrs Klimkoski,
So sorry to hear of Chris’ passing. I remember Chris as a small child when my sister and I would babysit for your boys. Chris was always a joy. I am keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.

We loved Chris. One of our favorite memories was going to Yankee Spring Trading with him in Florida in the early 2000’s. It was then, when he made amazing fajitas, that we discovered that he loved to cook. Our flight home was cancelled due to weather and we had to rebook on a full flight. Chris was squished next to an enormous person but instead of complaining he just said that he was sitting next to “Pizza the Hutt”. He made us laugh.
