Music by The Piano Brothers

Surrounded by his loving wife and family, Paul Kapralos of Terryville, Connecticut died on December 6.  Paul was a loving husband, father, friend, Pépé, and avid outdoorsman. Paul was born February 1 1946 to Mary Kapralos in Malden, MA.  He had two sisters, Maryellen and Irene, and a brother Jim. He served briefly in the Coast Guard and graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

He met his wife Connie Kapralos over 50 years ago, to whom he was married for 49 years.  During this time they raised three sons: Trevor, Michael, and Scott, and he was the Pépé for 6 grandchildren: Joseph, Madison, Verity, Beatrice, Kathleen, and Caroline.  He will also be missed by his lifelong friends Bob and Jean Devaux.

Paul was an avid outdoorsman.  First introduced to hunting by his Uncle Nick, it became his passion throughout his entire life.  He enjoyed just walking through the woods with the peace and serenity it brought him. Recently he enjoyed hunting at his camp in New York State with his friend Chip Martin.

With boundless energy, he was constantly working in his garage, taking care of a fleet of cars, tinkering, and fixing things around the house. Calling themselves the "K-team", Paul and Connie also worked in their garden, which produced a plethora of flowers, vegetables, and pumpkins for the grandchildren's yearly "pumpkinfest" festivities.

There will be a funeral mass at Our Lady of Mercy at 94 Broad Street Plainville on Thursday, December 12th at 10am.

Dear Connie and Family,

I was so saddened to read that Paul passed away. It seems like I just saw him walking the dog down Orchard Street the other day. I always said hi to him when I saw him and told him to tell you, Connie, that I said hi.
My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.

FRIENDSHIP

Friendship is a Golden Chain,
The links are friends so dear,
And like a rare and precious jewel
It’s treasured more each year…
It’s clasped together firmly
With a love that’s deep and true,
And it’s rich with happy memories
and fond recollections, too…
Time can’t destroy its beauty
For, as long as memory lives,
Years can’t erase the pleasure
That the joy of friendship gives…
For friendship is a priceless gift
That can’t be bought or sold,
But to have an understanding friend
Is worth far more than gold…
And the Golden Chain of Friendship
Is a strong and blessed tie
Binding kindred hearts together

Love, Jean,Bob & family

Kapralos Family,

There are no words we know of that help during these times. However, know that we are praying for Paul and all of you and we hope that this offers some comfort. Although, we did not visit often enough over the years, we thought of you often and the hunting stories we heard stuck in our minds. May God bless and hold you in the palm of his hands during ths difficult time.
