Dear Doreen, Steven and Sandra,

We are so sad to hear about Audrey's passing. She was such a delight, so much fun to be around. A person always knew where he or she stood with Audrey, because she always spoke her mind no matter what. She was truly one-of-a-kind. We will miss her! We extend our heartfelt condolences to you.

Dear Doreen, Steven and Sandra

All the Longman family in England were shocked and saddened to learn (belatedly) of Auntie Audrey's death in April of last year.

My mum, Mrs Elizabeth Longman (Audrey's sister-in-law, widow of my late father Ken Longman) had sent Audrey a Christmas card (as indeed did we), which has just been returned to her. This got us thinking that all might not be well.

I 'Googled' Audrey Goldrod and found Auntie Audrey's obituary on the website of 'The Bristol Press', which then put me in touch with this website.

My parents last saw Auntie Audrey a few years ago in Bristol, CT when they visited the US and Canada on holiday. My brother Peter and i though hadn't seen her since we were children, however, she was our auntie, a Longman, and we're saddened by this news.

Please, if you read this Doreen, Steven or Sandra, get in touch with me. My wife (Susan) and i live in the city of Bristol, in England. Our address is 49 Fremantle Road, Cotham, Bristol BS6 5SX England, or you can email me at

Audrey was the eldest of the 4 children of James Henry Longman and Jane Longman (nee Whitby) and the last to pass away. The Longman family in England now comprises my mum, Irene Longman (Audreys' brother Vivian's wife), Rene's daughter Mrs Helen McNeil (Audrey's neice), my brother Peter and his wife Karine and their 2 sons James and Ben and my wife Susan and I. We would love to hear from you.

Lots of love to you Auntie, Tim.
