Obituary
Yolande “Rita” (LaPointe) Hoffman, 96, of Terryville, widow of Bernard T. Hoffman passed away Sunday July 30, 2023 at Southington Care Center.
Rita was born July 6, 1927 in Lewiston, Maine, daughter of the late Mathias and Georgianna (Grenier) LaPointe. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the former New Departure Co. of Bristol. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, Terryville and member of the Daughters of Isabella. Rita loved going to her cottage, traveling out west, dancing, playing bingo and cruising.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Alice Hoffman of Bristol, her daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Ezio “Ed” Nicoletti of Bristol; her grandchildren, Michael Adams, Danielle and Jessica Nicoletti; her great grandson, Brett Adams and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 12:00PM at the Immaculate Conception Church, Terryville. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Terryville. Relatives and friends may call at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville Friday morning from 9:30 – 11:30AM.
