Wilton F. Hawes II

Wilton F. Hawes II, 77, of Bristol, husband of the late Linda (Minervini) Hawes, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Civita Care Sheriden Woods. He was born November 8, 1948, in Waterbury, son of the late Wilton and Marjorie (Duff) Hawes.

Prior to his retirement, Wilton was employed by Winchester Electronics. He was a member of the Terryville Congregational Church, a 50-year member of the St. Paul's Lodge, No. 11, Free and Accepted Masons in Litchfield, and a former member of CERT. Wilton loved to dance, sing and listen to music. He was also an avid chess player.

Wilton leaves behind his son Wilton Hawes III, of Bristol; his daughters, Lucinda Fisher and her husband Brian of WI, Jo Ellen Hawes of Terryville and Katherine Andrews and her husband Arthur of WV; his sisters, Marjorie “Sue” Piercy of Plainville and Shirly Drueschler of FL; his brother-in-law Joe Minervini; his sister-in-law Joan Minervini-Harvey; his beloved grandchildren, Sean, Lauren Danielle, Justin, Nicole and Miriah; his three great-grandchildren and his very best friend Mike Baldwin. Besides his parents and his wife, Wilton was predeceased by his brother Paul Hawes.

A funeral service will be held at the Terryville Congregational Church, 233 Main St, Terryville, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 1PM. Family and friends may visit at the church from 12:30 until the service. Burial will be private in Hillside Cemetery.
