William S. Hall, Jr., 80, of Plymouth, husband of Joy (Herrick) Hall, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the VA Connecticut Healthcare facility in West Haven, CT. He was born on November 10, 1941, in Milford, son of the late William Sr. and Elizabeth (Brodeur) Hall.
Bill proudly served his country in the US Army. Bill was self-employed as a Land Surveyor. He was a member and Deacon of the Terryville Congregational Church, and a past president and member of the CT Association of Land Surveyors. He was a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Masonic Lodge, and the Lake Plymouth Association. He was also a past Captain of the Woodmont Fire Department in Milford. Bill was a Civil War buff and was a member of the Civil War Roundtable. He admired classical music and enjoyed books and movies.
Besides his wife, Bill leaves behind his son William S. Hall, III and his fiancé Sandy Morrison of York, PA; his brother Robert E. Hall of Milford; his sister Sondra Roeber of Charlottesville, VA; his grandchildren, Ashlee and Alyssa Williams, Shaun, Devin, Taylor, and David Hall; his great grandson Shaun Hall; a niece Danielle and nephews Kenneth, Scott and Bryan. Bill was predeceased by his daughter, Amber-Dawn Hall.
A funeral service will be held Saturday July 16, 2022, 4 PM at the Terryville Congregational Church, 233 Main St, with military honors to follow. Family and friends may visit at the church from 2 to 4 PM. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
