William Gollin, 95, of Terryville, passed away on Tuesday April 21st, 2026, at Shady Oaks Assisted Living, Bristol, CT. He was the loving husband of the late Lillian (Hasko) Gollin.
Born July 9th, 1930, in Germany, William was the son of the late Wilhelm Gollin and Olga (Radun) Gollin. He is survived by his daughter Deborah and her husband Marino Prozzo, of Terryville, and by his cherished granddaughter Alyssa Prozzo. William is also survived by his sisters Henrietta Gollin of Cromwell, and Freida Summers of Parma Heights, Ohio. He was pre-deceased by his brother Gustav Gollin of Parma Ohio and his sister Adele Schuetze of Kensington.
Shortly after arriving in the United States with his family, William was drafted into the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War.
William retired from Chapman Machine where he worked for most of his life as a skilled machinist. He was very active at St. Paul Lutheran Church and was deeply devoted to his faith and community.
An avid golfer, William was a longtime member of Pequabuck Golf Club and a lifetime member of the German Club of Bristol.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Newington VA Clinic, West Haven VA Medical Center, Bristol Home Care and Hospice and Shady Oak Assisted Living for the compassionate care and kindness they provided to William.
All services will be private. There will be no calling hours. A private graveside service with military honors will be at Hillside Cemetery, Terryville.
