Walter Kramarz Obituary

Walter A. Kramarz, 94, of Bristol, husband of Shirley (Monteith) Kramarz, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Bristol Hospital. He was born in West Rutland, VT, on July 17, 1932, son of the late Frank and Helen (Sczarek) Kramarz.

Walter proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by New Departure in Bristol, as a shop foreman. He attended St. Stanislaus Church in Bristol and St. Casimir Church in Terryville. He was also a past National Commander and current member of the American Legion- Plymouth Post #20.

Besides his beloved wife, Walter leaves behind his sons, Paul (Denise) Kramarz of Waterbury, Matthew (Lisa) Kramarz of Rutland, VT, and Ronald (LouAnn) Michaud of Middlebury; his daughters, Patricia (Kurt) Priebe of Southington, Lori (David) Eldridge of Wolcott, Diane Michaud of Bristol, Ann Owens of FL, and Terese Michaud of FL; his grandchildren, Heather, Melody, Teddy, Erica, Ali, Zachary, Nicholas, Khaiden, Dominique, Alexandra, and Brandon; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Walter was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Mary Zakrewski, Bernice Pawlusiak, Irene Preleski, Frances Miglis and Theodore Kramarz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at St. Casimir Church, 17 Allen St, Terryville, at 11AM, Followed by burial with military honors at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is assisting with the arrangements.
