Vincent J. Wojtusik, 92, of Forestville, husband of the late Arlene (Dodge) Wojtusik, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Countryside Manor of Bristol. He was born October 21, 1930, in Terryville, son of the late Julian and Sophie (Czajkowski) Wojtusik.
Vincent proudly served as a Staff Sgt. and was a tabulating machine operator in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he was employed with the Farmington Public Schools. Vincent was an athlete, playing basketball, baseball, and golf in his early years. Later on, he traded playing for watching, as a huge fan of UCONN basketball and golf. He kept his mind sharp watching game shows and doing crossword puzzles. He had a huge heart and loved his family deeply. He will be remembered for his kind and caring ways to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Vincent is survived by his sons, Vincent W. Wojtusik of Bristol and Michael S. Wojtusik of Bristol; his daughter Lisa M. Rose of New Britain; his grandchildren, Melissa, Bethany, Kerri, Michelle, Jennifer & Jessica, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, Vincent was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Sharon Wojtusik, and he was the last of six children.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, 11 AM, at the Immaculate Conception Church, 170 Main St, Terryville. Burial with military honors will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Terryville. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is assisting with arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
