Velma (Bouchard) Aubin, 97, of Terryville, widow of Harold R. Aubin, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at home. She was born February 25, 1926, in Fort Kent, ME, daughter of the late Steven and Beatrice (Pelletier) Bouchard.
Prior to her retirement, Velma worked for Fletcher Terry. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Terryville. Her greatest passion in life was her family, as a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She left Maine at the age of 17 to join an older sibling in Plainville, CT and worked in a ball bearing plant to support the WWII effort.
Velma is survived by her son Thomas Aubin and his wife Corinne of Farmington; her daughters, Donna LaMontagne of Bristol, Joyce Kasputis and her husband John of Terryville, Patricia Chizinski and her husband Dave of Forestville, Barbara Doucette and her husband Rick of Torrington, and Jeanne Coviello and her husband Ralph of Warwick, RI; her grandchildren, Steven and Keith Chizinski, Mallory and Jeremy Kasputis, Aaron LaMontagne, and Sydney Doucette; her great grandchildren, Destiny and Morgan LaMontagne, Asher Isles and Myra Chizinski; her great-great grandson Jack Shepard and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, February 29, 11:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, Terryville. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Family and friends may visit at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, from 9:30 AM until leaving for church. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
