Thomas Huria, Sr.

Thomas Huria, Sr., 83, of Terryville, husband of the late Patricia (Cherry) Huria, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023, at home. He was born November 11, 1939, in Bristol, son of the late Peter and Mary (Klimkosky) Huria.

Tom proudly served in the US Marine Corps. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Theis Steel in Bristol. Tom was a parishioner of St. Casimir Church in Terryville, and he was a former member of the American Legion Plymouth Post 20. Tom was a tinkerer and a man of many talents. He loved to fabricate metal and was an inventor of many things. He loved his friends at Lee Hardware in Terryville.

Tom leaves behind his sons, Thomas Huria, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Terryville and John Huria of Terryville; his brother David Huria of Terryville; his daughter-in-law Kerrie Huria; and his grandchildren, Sean, McKenzie, Nikki, Joe Jr., and Nicholas. Besides his parents and his wife, Tom was predeceased by his son Joseph Huria and his brother Peter Huria.

A private graveside service with military honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is assisting with the arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
