Shirley (Bernoski) Kellas, 85, of Thomaston, wife of the late Roy A. Kellas, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at home with her family by her side. She was born July 22, 1940, in Bristol, daughter of the late George Sr. and Ann (Christophy) Bernoski.
Prior to her retirement Shirley was employed by Noujaim Tool Co., Inc. in Waterbury. She loved to sing and was once part of the Darling Sisters group, traveling from Norfolk to Ansonia singing. Shirley loved to take trips when she could. She was always a hard worker who enjoyed being able to relax at home and watching Soap Operas.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Robert Dempsey and his wife Dawn and John E. Dempsey, all of Thomaston; her granddaughter Kataryna Winters and her partner Reed Harteis of FL; and her sister Carol Mendela. Besides her husband, Shirely was predeceased by her brother George Bernoski.
