Sandra Jean (Jensen) Kucharski

Sandra Jean (Jensen) Kucharski, beloved wife, devoted mother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2025. Born in Waterbury on May 15, 1943, she was the daughter of Emil and Mary (Sanderson) Jensen. She is predeceased by her siblings Donald Jensen, Arlene Berti, Phyllis Dormody and Kathleen Pronovost. She grew up in Thomaston and moved to Terryville when she married Stanley Kucharski, with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage before his passing in 2018. In addition to Stanley, she is predeceased by their son David, her dearest friend of many years Helen Chapulis, and her favorite dog Ginger, and she missed them all and spoke of them every day. She is survived by her children Barry Kucharski of Terryville and daughter Christine Brown, son in law Michael and grandchildren Rebecca and William of South Hamilton, Massachusetts. Sandra is also survived by Tina Cybulski, who was Sandra’s caregiver and became like a daughter and sister to our family. Our family will be forever grateful to Tina for the incredible care and kindness she gave Sandra during this time.
