Ruth Elaine (Scott) Diana

Ruth Elaine (Scott) Diana, 95, of Terryville, wife of the late Fred Diana, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at home. She was born April 18, 1928, in Belfast, ME, daughter of the late George Washington and Mable (Simpson) Scott.

Prior to her retirement, Ruth raised her kids in Bristol, CT, before moving to Westerly, RI, for 20 years. She was employed by Redstone Manufacturing in Bristol. She was a devoted housewife and mother. She lived for over 25 years in Florida before coming back to live in Terryville, CT. Ruth was a very strong “Yankee” woman.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Audrey) Perkins of Unionville, and Peter (Nancy) Perkins of RI; her daughter Margaret Kolb and her life partner Daniel Provenzano of Bristol; her sister Louise Henley of NH; her grandchildren, Jamie (James) Talbot, Cheryl (Henry) Han, Jill (Chris) Keough, Matthew (Yolanda) Kolb, John (Julianne) Kolb, Alisha (Dino) Iacobo, and Marcy (Brian) D’Uva; her 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Ruth was predeceased by her brothers, Junior Scott and Frank Scott.
