Beloved Mother and Grandmother, Rose O. Moran, 81, of Terryville, CT, passed away suddenly while surrounded by her family on Friday December 29, 2023, at St Mary’s Hospital.
Rose was born in Waterbury, CT on February 26, 1942, to the late Francis Michael Hogan and Dora Asunta Paris. Rose was born and raised in Waterbury, Ct. She attended Sacred Heart High School and then went on to work for many years as a supervisor at Toy R Us in Waterbury until her retirement. Rose loved working at Toys R Us and all of the friends she met while working there. Especially her “Little Friend”, Lil. In 2006, Rose moved to Terryville to live with her daughter Carolyn. They spent everyday together on their many adventures. She loved hummingbirds, beautiful flowers, and God.
Rose was an amazing mother and grandmother. She loved dancing and laughing. Watching Mid-Summer Murders and listening to all kinds of music from Elvis to the Black Eyed Peas. She was known for making her amazing Italian Cookies, meatballs and chicken parmigiana. Rose became a world traveler with her family later in life. One of her life time dreams came true when she was able to meet Pope Francis in Rome and receive his blessing. A devout Catholic, Rose believed in God with all of her being. There is no doubt that she is in paradise with him right now.
Rose was predeceased by her husband, John H. Moran, sisters Della Pomponio, Drina Bradshaw and Nancy Bellemare, and her son in law, John Wujcik Sr.
Left to cherish in her memory are her children Michele Moran, Carolyn Wujcik, and John Moran and his wife Barbara; her three grandchildren that she absolutely adored: Aysiaa Wujcik, Brianna Brown (Ryan Kerwin) and John Wujcik Jr: and her brother Patrick Hogan of Florida.
