Obituary
Robert J. Burns, Jr, 73, of Weston, husband of Carol (Schultz) Burns, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Norwalk Hospital. He was born November 11, 1949, in Stamford, son of the late Robert J. and Ella (Pooch) Burns.
Prior to his retirement, Robert was employed by Pitney Bowes in Stamford. He was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Trumbull. He enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Besides his wife, Robert is survived by his daughter Kathryn Burns of NYC; his brother Peter Burns of Cape Cod, MA; his nephews Todd and Jeff Burns; and his grand-dog, Oliver who he loved and misses him dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 11:30 AM at Hillside Cemetery, Terryville. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2 PM, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 5995 Main St, Trumbull, CT. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Robert’s memory. https://www.cancer.org
