Raymond G. Engle

Raymond G. Engle, 90, of Thomaston, husband of the late Wilma (Varner) Engle, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born July 21, 1935, in Cambria County, PA, son of the late Calvin and Benny (McCreary) Engle.

Prior to his retirement, Ray was employed by Barlow Metal Stamping in Bristol. He loved to go to the casino, bowling, playing horseshoes, traveling the country in his RV and being around his friends and family at BBQ parties.

Ray leaves behind his sons, Raymond Engle and wife Janet of Plymouth, Wayne Engle and wife Lisa of Thomaston, Daniel Engle and wife Kim of Terryville, Robert Engle and wife Danah of Terryville and Kevin Engle and wife Karrie of Terryville; his daughters Cheryl Davino of SC, Elaine Wagner and husband Robert of SC, Rita Jean Judson and husband Michael of Torrington, and Patricia Chasse and husband Donald of Thomaston; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ray will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, 10AM at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville. Burial will follow at Torringford Cemetery, Torrington. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home one hour prior. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
