Philip Parenti Obituary

Philip J. Parenti, 87, of Terryville, husband of MaryAnn (Miller) Parenti, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, at home. He was born on April 11, 1937, in Bristol, son of the late John George and Josephine Victoria (Wyrebek) Parenti.

Philip served in the US Army from November 17, 1956, till December 31, 1962. He was stationed in Germany. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on November 29, 1958. He was an Elder in the Plymouth Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, since the congregation was formed. He enjoyed his many years as a full-time minister sharing in the Door-to-door ministry. He loved his many experiences helping others to know the Bible. He worked at Stone Radio & TV Repair, and then at Superior Electric in their sales department for 9 years. He then went into a partnership with his good friend, Greg Laplante. They called the business CNC Engineering and Design. He worked there until his retirement. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique toys. He loved toy trains, building and flying radio-controlled airplanes, camping with his family and friends, riding his motorcycle, singing and playing the accordion. Phil lived a happy life filled with joy and laughter. His laugh was infectious.

Besides MaryAnn, his beloved wife of nearly 47 years, Phil leaves behind his 3 sons, Daniel Parenti, Stephen Parenti and his wife Vivian, and John W. Parenti; 1 grandson Rick W. Parenti; 1 granddaughter Kalista Tanner and her husband Wesley; 4 great-grandsons, Christopher, Levi, William and Wyatt; 2 brothers, Richard and John G. Parenti and his fiancé Joanne Brague; sisters-in-law, Debbie Denslow, Bernadette Ferris, Suzanne Landrum and brother-in-law John Miller; and all of his many nieces and nephews.
