Obituary
Paul B. Hawes, Sr., former Terryville resident, husband of Marie Hawes for almost 50 years, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, in Rocky Mount, NC. Son of the late Wilton and Marjorie (Duff) Hawes.
Paul was an active member of the Terryville Congregational Church and the Terryville Fire Department Ladder Company #1, for over 50 years before he retired and moved to North Carolina. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his wife, Paul is survived by his sons, Paul and Kate, Larry and Sara, John and Trish, and Andrew and Jessica Hawes; his sisters, Sue Piercy and Shirley, Drueschler; his brother Wilton Hawes; 18 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his parents, four brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law, a niece and his grandparents.

Family and friends may call at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, on Friday, June 30, from 5-8 PM. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 1, at the Terryville Congregational Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Terryville. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
