Paul Caron Obituary

Paul A. Caron, 85, of Terryville, husband of Pauline (Boucher) Caron, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Encompass Health and Rehab in Danbury. He was one of 8 children born to the late Camille and Jeanne (Toussaint) Caron, born on June 5, 1941, in Fort Kent, ME.

Paul proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Nutmeg Spice Co. Before then he had also worked for Stanley Tool and Amodio Moving. To his family, Paul was a handsome, blue eyed, great hair, comforting smell of old spice, patient, and loving husband, father, and brother who was looked up to by his siblings. Paul was also so proud to be a grandfather and great-grandfather, supporting all of the sporting events or rehearsals, cheering loudly from the sidelines or audience. He liked to listen to the oldies, whistle tunes, yodel songs, wear shorts in the winter, bring coffee and sing “Good morning to you”, to his wife, and always say “in a while crocodile” or tap on car hood when saying goodbye. Even with all of his laughter, love and quips, Paul was very stoic, kind, quiet and had such a calming presence.

Besides his beloved wife Pauline, of 60 years, he leaves behind his son Paul Dennis Caron and his wife Denise of Terryville; his daughter Laura Chamberland and her husband Wayne of Torrington; his daughter-in-law Holly Caron Stickles of FL; his brothers, William, Jack, Maurice, and Peter Caron; his sisters, Anne LaBlanc and Jill Caron; his grandchildren, Jesse, Amanda, and Amber Caron, Justin and Jacob Chamberland, and Alexa and Adam Caron; his precious great-grandchildren, Rhea, Cooper, Adeline and Delaney; and his animal companions, Jax the cat and Birdie the bird. Paul was predeceased by his son Christopher Caron and his sister Danielle Caron.

The family asks, that no flowers be sent, instead to please consider making a donation to the Northwest Elderly Nutrition Program, 88 East Albert St, Torrington, CT 06790.

A burial with military honors will be scheduled at a later date, at the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is assisting with the arrangements.
