Patricia "Pat" “Scadutz” Ann (Scaduto) (Howard) Zappulla, 75, of Terryville, Connecticut, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 28, 2026. She passed away peacefully at home after courageously living with a lengthy illness.
Born on April 4, 1951, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Pat was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Daisy (DeLucia) Scaduto. She graduated from Greenwich Nursing School in 1972 and dedicated her life to caring for others through her work as a nurse. Her compassion, kindness, and servants heart touched countless lives throughout her career and beyond.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Daisy (DeLucia) Scaduto, and her beloved sister, Lorraine (Scaduto) Santos, and brother-in-law, Americo Santos.
She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Tony Zappulla; her son, Brian Howard and his wife, Jennifer; her daughter, Cherie (Howard) Pritt and her husband David; her stepdaughters, Tiffany Zappulla and Stephanie (Zappulla) Laflam; her cherished grandchildren, Abby, Matt, Josh, and Alex; her step-grandchildren, Genesis, Gemariah, Phaedra, Ellis, Adriana, and Bastian; her brother, Frank Scaduto and his wife Kathey, of California; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Pat found joy in life's simple blessings. She loved spending time at the beach and had a special affection for palm trees, always dreaming of one day calling Florida home. She also enjoyed many trips to Cape Cod. She had a craft and talent in crocheting and knitting, lovingly creating handmade blankets for each of her children and grandchildren—treasured gifts that will forever remind them of her warmth and love.
Above all, Pat's greatest passion was her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She openly shared God's love with those around her and with all her online Christian chat room “God is Love” offering encouragement, hope, and Scripture to everyone she met. Her unwavering faith, generous spirit, and compassionate heart leave a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.
Pat will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her selfless love, steadfast faith, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness and devotion to others.
Family and friends may visit at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 2-4 PM.
