Patricia L. (Finkenzeller) Lyga

On Monday, March 1, 2022, Patricia L. (Finkenzeller) Lyga, went home to be with the Lord.  Patricia, 76, of Farmington, formerly of Terryville, was born in Bryan, TX on March 17, 1945, daughter of William C. Finkenzeller and Constance (Nocera) Finkenzeller, both deceased.  She was the younger sister of Ann Christine “Christy” Borelli of Terryville.

Patti attended the Holt District School and Terryville High School, where she met and later married Richard M. Lyga, her husband of 61 years.  Patti and Richie lived most of their lives in Terryville, where they raised their daughters, Brenda L. Antuna of Bristol and Lori A. Lyga, of Tarzana, California.  Patti enjoyed spending time baking cookies and shopping with her granddaughter, Brittany L. Antuna, of Los Angeles, California.

She had an eye and flair for design which was evident in the display work she created in the Christmas Shop at Wojtusik’s Garden Shop and Nursery, where she worked for many years and then later as the manager of the Bristol Hospital Gift Shop.

She is loved and will forever be in the hearts of Richie, Christy, Brenda, Lori and Britt, along with her niece and nephew-in-law Sue Ann Fador, and her husband Todd, of Terryville;  her brother-in-law and sister-in law Peter V. Lyga and his wife, Barbara, of Bristol; her sister-in-law, Theresa A. Pelletier, and her nephew Curt Pelletier, also of Bristol; her brother-in-law, Philip Lyga of Terryville; her brother-in-law, Mark Lyga, of Terryville; her brother-in-law and sister-in law, Daniel J. Lyga and his wife Karen, of Bristol; their children, her nephew Matthew Lyga and his wife Glendina, of Bristol; and her niece Kathryn Lyga of Bristol.  She also leaves her lifelong friend Catherine Kosak.
