Pamela (Garro) Poitras, 73, of Harwinton, wife of Raymond A. Poitras, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was born January 23, 1950, in Hartford, daughter of the late Salvatore (Fred) and Mabel (Cook) Garro.
Aside from her husband, Pam is survived by her daughter Kellie Wrubleski of Florida, her son Christopher Stupnitzki and his wife Kate of Burlington, her step-son Raymond W. Poitras and his wife Venus of Stafford Springs, her step-daughter Stacy Lynn DeDomincis of Glastonbury, her twin sister Phyllis Garro Ryalls of Harwinton, her brothers, Robert and Thomas Garro, both of East Hartford, and her grandchildren, Jarrod, Logan, Zack, Elise, Jack, Michael and William. Pam was predeceased by her brother James Garro and their sister Diana Garro Ross.
Pam was employed by AT&T for 20 years, followed by Farmington Savings Bank where she retired. She also enjoyed time with the Harwinton Women’s Club. Her retirement revolved around her beloved Grandchildren. Pam cherished feeding her “backyard” animals as part of her daily routine. She held fond memories of her deceased fur babies Jordan and Lucky. The majority of her days were spent with her adored rescue dog, Tink.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 2-4 PM for family and friends at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
