SOUTHBURY - Naomi A. (Blauvelt) Rudolph, age 87, of Southbury, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 16th at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Rudolph. She was born February 22, 1938, in New Britain, the youngest of 7 children to the late Raymond J. and Genevieve C. (Payne) Blauvelt. She is predeceased by three sisters, Carolyn Lindsey, Bernice St'Onge, and Jean Pomicter, and three brothers, Roger, Raymond, and Russell Blauvelt.
Naomi grew up in Plainville, raised her family in Southington, and lived in Terryville for many years. She was a homemaker who loved to dance and listen to her favorite music by Elvis, Neil Diamond, and Johnny Cash. Naomi loved animals, sitting out on her deck enjoying nature, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Naomi was a collector of unique memorabilia from her youth. She was witty and had a sense of humor. She had a sweet tooth and will be remembered for the color red and her love of chocolate and strawberries.
Naomi is survived by her two daughters, Julie-Anne Hood and her husband Paul of Thomaston, and Roxanne Rudolph of New Hartford, her two sons, Robert R. and Mark Rudolph of Vermont, her four grandchildren, Cassidy Cote, Mikayla James, Benjamin Hood, and Stormy Rudolph, her two great-grandchildren, Alara and Shawn James, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Family and friends may visit at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 10:30am-12pm, with a service at 12pm. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Plainville. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
