Michael P. “Mickey” Evanoski, Sr, 59 of Thomaston, husband of Leslie (Cook) Evanoski, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at home. He was born February 6, 1964, in Waterbury, son of the late Michael J. and Linda (Richardson) Evanoski.
Mickey was a member of the American Legion, Post 22. He loved to play pool, horseshoes, loved to watch NASCAR, he was also very talented at woodworking. Mickey just became a great-grandfather and loved spending time with his great-grandson and all his family.
Besides his wife, Mickey is survived by his sons, Michael Evanoski, Jr, and his wife Jennifer of Thomaston and David Palmer; his stepsons, James Simpson of Thomaston and Robert Simpson of Burlington; his brother Henry Evanoski of Terryville; his sisters, Judy Barry and Jimmy Skrzypiec of Bristol and Diana Samela and her husband Daniel of Thomaston; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Landon, Emily, Austin, Devin, Lily, Brody, Joshua, Aiden, and Anthony “AJ”; his great-grandson Zakaiah; his niece Danielle and nephew Brent and several cousins, aunts and uncles. Mickey was predeceased by his parents and a son Robet Palmer.
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 20, at the American Legion, Post 22, 211 Elm St, Thomaston, from 1-5 PM. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is assisting with arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
