Obituary

Melissa Ann (DeLorenzo) O’Brien, 46, of Oakville, wife of James O’Brien passed away Thursday April 6, 2023, at Waterbury Hospital.

Melissa was born September 12, 1976, in Waterbury, CT, daughter of Michael P. and Cynthia (DuFour) DeLorenzo of Terryville.  Melissa was employed as a paralegal for Atty. Eric Palladino.  She was parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene Church, Oakville.  Melissa loved her family and animals.

In addition to her husband and parents she is survived by her daughter, Breanna Lynn O’Brien of Oakville; her brothers, Michael and his wife Jennifer DeLorenzo of Ansonia, Kevin DeLorenzo and Randy DeLorenzo both of Terryville; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 11AM at St. Casimir Church, 19 Allen St. Terryville.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Terryville.  Relatives and friends may visit at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville on Wednesday from 6 – 8PM. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
