Mark Warren 56, of Oakville passed away on Thursday June 27, 2024, at home. He was born December 3, 1967, son of Ronald Warren Sr. of Oakville and the late Lorraine (Yarusavage) Warren.
Mark's journey began in Oakville where he graduated from Watertown High School in 1985. During his high school years he was an active member of the football team. His academic dedication continued at Mattatuck Community College, where he earned a place on the dean's list.
Following a family tradition of military service, with his father having served in the Navy and his brother in the Army, Mark chose to join the Army, training initially at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. His commitment and perseverance led him to complete Airborne training at Fort Benning the following year. Mark found great pride and purpose in serving in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division. His exceptional service was recognized through numerous letters of recognition and medals, culminating in his promotion to Sergeant. Mark cherished the bonds he formed with his fellow soldiers, often reflecting on the honor and camaraderie of his service.
After his military career, he continued to serve his community by joining the Connecticut State Police Department.
Mark had a profound love for his dogs, LT and Cassie, and found joy in the company of friends, music, and playing pool. He also enjoyed hunting with his father and brother. He will be remembered for his dedication to his country and community, and the generosity and loyalty he brought to all who knew him.
Besides his father Mark leaves behind his sister Sharon Corsi and her husband Paul of Terryville. A niece Mikaela Corsi of Miami Florida and a nephew Nicholas Corsi of New Britain. He was predeceased by his mother, a brother Ronald Warren Jr., and his beloved dogs LT and Cassie.
