Marilou Petroff

Marilou Petroff, 89, of Bristol, fell asleep in the arms of our Lord on Sunday, November 3, 2024. Marilou was born August 30, 1935, in Bristol, daughter of the late Walter and Olga (Suslenko) Petroff. 

Marilou graduated from the John J. Jennings Grammar School in 1949 and Bristol High School, Class of 1953, and lived during the greatest time of the century…the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Superior Electric Company for 39 years.  She was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Orthodox Church, Terryville, CT and the Parish Sisterhood.  She is survived by her brother Stephen and his wife Carla of Manhattan Beach, CA, niece Sasha (Nick) Thomas of Auburn, AL, niece Ashley Thompson (Jon) of Hawthorn, CA, her sister-in-law Patsy Henrick of Sarasota, FL, her nephews Michael (Katrina) Henrick of Stratford, CT, Jon (Justine) Henrick of Aptos, CA, Stephen (Gail) Henrick of Clinton, CT, nieces Cheryl Henrick of Guilford, CT, and Karen Tedeschi of Belmont, CA, and many great nieces and nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Marilou was predeceased by her sisters Barbara Henrick and Sonya Petroff, and longtime brother-in-law Francis C. Henrick.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 8, 2024, 11 AM at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, 34 Fairview Dr. Terryville, CT. Family and friends may visit at the church from 9-11 AM. Burial will follow in Ss. Cyril Cemetery, Terryville.
