Margot ((Burri)) Rajotte

Margot Suzanne Rajotte, 76, of Bristol, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy built entirely on kindness and devotion. Born in October 1949, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to John and Gertrude Burri, Margot spent her life looking for ways to lift others up. Many knew her smiling face from her years of dedicated, caring work at Bristol City Hall in the Veterans and Claims Department.

Margot was the epitome of unconditional love–profoundly selfless, patient, kind, and wonderfully silly. She was famous for her quiet generosity, constantly helping people out with big and small—often unnoticed—acts of kindness, never thinking twice even if it inconvenienced her. More than anything, Margot was a best friend, an unwavering support, and a true confidant to her two adult children and so many others. Her world revolved around her family, especially her grandkids, and she adored every single thing they did and said. She also loved laughing with close friends, knitting amazingly intricate sweaters and gifts, and getting lost in a good book.

Margot is now reunited with her beloved husband, John Rajotte and family members since passed. Her incredible spirit of love lives on through her family: her son, Ben, and his daughter, Suki; and her daughter, Jessica Howard, and son-in-law, Scott, and their children, Clementine, Kingston, and Phoenix. She also leaves behind her sister, Helen Taylor; her sister, Jacqueline Fosdick, and her husband, Clarence; and a long list of family and close friends who will miss her every single day. 

The family will lay Margot to rest with her husband during a private burial at Middletown Veterans Cemetery this August, followed by an intimate celebration of her beautiful life
