Louise (Spielman) Russell

Louise (Spielman) Russell, 72, of Thomaston, wife of the late Donald “Donni” Russell, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was born August 6, 1953, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Francis and Edith (Howell) Spielman.

Prior to her retirement, Louise was a graphic designer. She loved the arts and was quite a prolific painter. She was an avid gardener and had such a love for the ocean. Louise loved to visit her brother at The Cape. She had a special group of friends who she always played LRC with at the American Legion hall in Terryville. But to Louise, her family was key, she loved being with them and spending time with her granddaughters.

Louise leaves behind her daughter Shannon Rosenberg and her husband Warren, of NY; her siblings Mark Spielman and his wife Linda, Marlene Spielman, David Spielman and his wife Yanaris, and Helena (Spielman) Espinosa and her husband Arnold; her beloved granddaughters Natasha and Brittany, and several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Family and friends may visit at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 11am– 2pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
