Leigh Elvira (Ferraris) Blake

Leigh Blake, 93, of Farmington, CT and Boca Raton, FL passed away on October 25, 2023, at Avon Health Center. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved late husband of 54 years, Edward Blake, in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol, CT.

Born April 22, 1930, in Meriden, CT, she was the youngest daughter of the late Clement and Elvira (Freshenelle) Ferraris. She is survived by her brother-in-law and wife, Walter and Karin Bukowski of Terryville; and several nieces and nephews.

Up until her last days, Leigh lived happily in her own homes, enjoying the summer months in Farmington and the winter months in Boca Raton. Leigh and Ed enjoyed countless magical trips to Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando, FL. Strolling leisurely through the theme parks and people watching brought them much joy and happiness. Leigh loved watching Dancing with the Stars, especially on the annual tribute to Disney night. Many of the wonderful friendships and social activities they enjoyed centered around Ed’s golfing memberships at Wethersfield Country Club and Boca Raton Country Club.

A family memorial will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of donor’s choice. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St. Terryville, is assisting with the arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
