June (Johnson) Sutter, 90, of Plymouth, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, at Ingraham Manor in Bristol. She was born May 18, 1933, in Thomaston, daughter of the late Madison and Eileen (Jacklyn) Johnson.

June also owned and operated her own business in Cape Cod in the hospitality area for several years before working for the United Labor Agency, helping displaced workers from companies that had closed, teaching them how to get back into the workforce. After she had retired, she volunteered at the Good News Thrift Shop for many years at her local church where she became the manager and made it a successful business.
June enjoyed many activities such as bowling, softball, fishing, golfing, taking care of her yard and flower garden. She also liked to go camping with her family and spending time with her grandchildren, swimming in her pool.
June leaves behind a son Kevin Sutter of Torrington; a daughter Cynthia Sutter Conrad; five grandchildren, Christopher, Johnathen, Douglas, Alexandra and Audrey; 3 great grandchildren, Christopher, Alexa, and Justin Reily all of Arizona; her brother Tom Johnson of FL; and her sister Patricia Marchell of Winsted. Besides her parents, June was predeceased by her brother Edward and Peter Johnson.
A family graveside service will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023, 11AM at Hillside Cemetery, Thomaston, with plans for a celebration of life in the future. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is assisting with the arrangements.
