Juliette (Plourde) Belanger

Juliette “Julie” (Plourde) Belanger, widow of Antoine “Tony” Belanger, departed her loving family on February 15, 2023. Juliette was born in Fort Kent, ME on January 16, 1923, one of 14 children born to the late Levite and Isabelle Plourde.

Julie is survived by her daughters, Joan Baillargeon and Diane Stinchon and her husband James; her daughter-in-law Judy Belanger. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Joseph, Robert, Jill, Paul Jr. (Lynn), Marc (Tracey), James Jr. (Ann), and Sean (Jennifer); along with 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Julie was predeceased by her son Roger Belanger, her son-in-law Paul Baillargeon and her great granddaughter Brooke Bodak.

Juliette lived independently for 100 years. Devoted to taking care of her home and family in Bristol, until she moved to Terryville in her later years. She loved all of her grandkids and great grandkids and always wanted to hear about their many accomplishments. Her hobbies were sewing and quilting and she spent many hours sewing little dresses for children in Africa and making blankets and quilts for her family. She was a tiny woman with a big heart and a strong spirit. She will be deeply missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 11AM at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave, Bristol. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is assisting with the arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
