Joseph Homer Synott, Jr.

Joseph H. Synott, Jr, 65, of Thomaston, husband of AnnMarie (Dery) Synott, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at home. He was born March 31, 1959, in Waterbury, CT, son of the late Joseph H. Sr. and Barbara (Clark) Synott.

Prior to his retirement, Joe was employed by Synagro in Waterbury. He loved his family and would do anything for them. His favorite sport was anything his grandsons were playing; their Pop never missed a game. He was the hardest working man you could find but loved to fish in his down time. Joe was a kind, loving, gentle man who will be missed deeply.

Besides the love of his life and best friend of 41 years, AnnMarie, Joe leaves behind his daughter Amy Pinette and her husband Mike of Bristol; his son Adam Synott and his wife Mary of Terryville; his siblings, Cheryl Synott, Steven Synott (Brenda) and Gary Synott (Doris); his grandsons, Mikey, TJ, Mason, Evan and Drew; his favorite dog Rosie, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Karen Synott.

A casual Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 6-8 PM at Thrive Church, 284 Town Hill Rd, Terryville. Scott Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
