Joseph Marquis

Joseph (Don) Marquis, 83, of Terryville, passed away peacefully in his home on February 3, 2023.  He was born July 23, 1939, in Fort Fairfield, Maine, son of the late Patrick and Edwina Marquis.

Prior to his retirement, Joseph was employed at the Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Company in Southington and Cheshire, Connecticut.

Joseph was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Roberta, and is survived by his sons, Robert Marquis (and partner Sue Ancher) of Rome Georgia, John Marquis (and husband Carl Meyer) of Manchester Connecticut and Matthew Marquis of Bristol Connecticut; his brother Philip and his wife Mary of Pinellas Park Florida, his brother Tom and his wife Carlie of Limestone Maine; his grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

We will always remember Dad for his love for family and friends, his unique barbequing skills (because he burnt everything to a cinder on the grill, until almost unrecognizable!!!); his unconditional and unwavering love for his wife, his love of ball games (especially the Red Sox) and his appreciation for ice cream cake!!  He will forever be in our hearts.
