John Lucien Rajotte, 74, of Bristol, CT, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, after touching the lives of a plethora of loving family and friends, including his cherished wife and best friend of 49 years, Margot Rajotte, his children, Benjamin Robert Rajotte and wife Ingrid Margoth, and Jessica Howard and husband Scott, his mother, Constance Rajotte and father (predeceased) Leo Paul Rajotte, and his siblings, Lucien Rajotte and wife Claudia, Janet Spielman, Leo Rajotte, and Elaine Gawel and husband Tom. He also leaves behind four adoring grandchildren, Suki Rajotte, and Clementine, Kingston and Phoenix Howard and many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
John, affectionately known as Johnny, had an amazingly witty and dry sense of humor and was known for loudly laughing himself and others to tears. He had an uncanny ability to retain facts on just about any topic and enjoyed riding motorcycles, classic movies, and spirited debate. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and becoming a grandparent as “Pops.” He relished in the joy of his grandchildren.
John will be deeply missed by many. He will be laid to rest on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 9am at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT 06457, followed by a Celebration of his Life from 10am to 12:30pm at the Inn at Middletown, 70 Main Street, Middletown, CT 06457 (free valet parking provided). In lieu of flowers, donations on John’s behalf may be made to Smilow Cancer Center, GBS-CIDP Foundation International.
