John Osuch

John Osuch, 89, of Plainville, husband of the late Arlene (Zaiko) Osuch passed away Friday July 7, 2023 at Hartford Hospital.

John was born June 19, 1934, in Stupnica, Sambor, Poland, son of the late Stefan and Pauline (Grozik) Osuch. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Barlow Metal Stamping of Bristol.  John was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Orthodox Church, Terryville. John was an avid jigsaw puzzle doer, he loved his daily crossword puzzles and word searches, and most of all he was an avid pet lover.  He loved his dogs and his cats.  He also loved his family especially his grandchildren.  He and Arlene loved taking trips in the summer. 

John is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy J. & Donna Osuch of Bristol; his daughter Melanie Osuch of Plainville; his grandchildren, Nicholas & Christopher; several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister Ayn Osuch.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday 10:00am at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church, Terryville.  Burial will follow in Ss. Cyril Cemetery, Terryville.  Relatives and friends may call at the church Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm with a Memorial Service at 7:00pm.
