Jennifer Christine Post

Jennifer Christine Post, 54, of Wethersfield, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, died on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. She was born December 9, 1970, in Waterbury and was the daughter of the late Bruce and Christine (Pearson) Post. Jennifer grew up in Terryville and attended Bristol Public Schools and graduated from Bristol Central High School in 1991.

Jennifer’s adolescence was full of adventure! She spent countless hours in the backyard pool and loved her trips to Cape Cod with her parents. She participated in the track and field division of both the local and regional Special Olympics for years, where she won numerous medals of which she was extremely proud!

In Jennifer’s senior year of high school, she suffered a devastating stroke, but in true Jennifer spirit, she made the best of a terrible situation and went on to enjoy a full life. After high school, she was employed by CW Recourses of Bristol, where she made many friends. She loved sorting bottles and cans and especially loved the little paycheck that came with it. Upon her retirement, she attended the Life Enrichment Program at HARC in Hartford. She once again made many friends and enjoyed her days there immensely. Jennifer will also be greatly missed by her Eastern and HARC family, who lovingly cared for her.

Jennifer was always the life of the party and could often be found with a microphone in her hand enjoying Karaoke! She was always sure to let everyone know that she had a good voice. Jennifer loved her family more than anything and she will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Jennifer is survived by her loving sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Thomas Bernier and Rebecca and David Cyr; as well as her beloved nieces Kristina Rosado, Olivia Cyr and Riley Rosado, all of Bristol.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025, 10 AM, at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville. Burial will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 6-8 PM. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
