Jean (Roberts) Emmons

Jean (Roberts) Emmons, 81, of Bristol, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Apple Rehab in Avon. She was born June 16, 1942, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Elmer and Irene (Cunningham) Roberts.

Prior to her retirement, Jean was employed by Torrington Co. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church in Thomaston, a member of the Red Hat Society, the Bristol Senior Center and the Prospect Senior Center. Jean was an avid card player, loved to watch the Golden Girls, the Hallmark channel and Christmas movies, but her favorite movie was Cinderella. She was also an avid Jeff Gordon fan.

Jean is survived by her son Richard Emmons and his wife Stacy of Terryville; her daughter Deborah Cudney of Bristol; her grandchildren, Sandra, Ashley, Danielle, Melissa, Keith, and Amanda; her great-grandchildren, Jordan, Wesley, Nora and Colton, and three nephews. Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her brother Al Roberts.

A memorial service will be held 11:30 AM at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville on Saturday, December 2. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 9:30 AM until the service.
