Jane (Przygocki) Dzielinski

Jane (Przygocki) Dzielinski, 95, of Terryville, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, surrounded by her family. Jane was born February 19, 1930, in Bristol, CT. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Bertha (Grela) Przygocki. Jane was the loving wife of the late Casmir Dzielinski for 60 years. They married at Saint Casmir Church, where she was a communicant and member of the choir.

Jane attended Fordham University, graduating in 1951. While at Fordham, she was part of the choir and performed at Grand Central Station and Rockefeller Center. Jane went from being a city girl to a farm girl, after marriage. She and her husband owned and operated a Christmas tree farm for over 20 years, and they were honored by the Terryville Lions Club for over 50 years of service at the Terryville fair. Prior to her retirement, Jane was employed by the Plymouth Public Schools for 35 years as a teacher, primarily teaching second grade.

Jane was a treasured and beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews, being practically supported by Janet Przygocki, Marilyn and William Gawitt, and Father Edward Przygocki. She was predeceased by her three sisters, Florence Walendoski, Helen Kramer and Marion Quistberg and her five brothers, Stanley, Eddie, Benny, Teddy and George Przygocki.

The Family would like to thank Eulin Brown and Hartford Healthcare Hospice for their compassionate care. Also, the family thanks Tom and Laura Lydem, who for the past two years have cared for and loved Jane as a treasured part of their family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jane’s name to the Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC), 225 N. Main St. Suite 500, Bristol, CT 06010, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 23, 10 AM, at St. Casmir Church, 17 Allen St, Terryville. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Terryville. Friends and family may visit at the church from 9:30 AM until Mass. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is assisting with the funeral arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
