James “Jim” F. Castiola, 80, of Terryville, wife of Alma (Hall) Castiola, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Bristol Hospital. He was born November 9, 1945, in New Britain, son of the late John J. and Anna (Smith) Castiola.
Prior to his retirement, Jim was employed by FadCo. in Bristol. He was a strong and hardworking man. Jim loved to take trips up to the cabin in VT and spend time hunting, fishing and playing cards with the guys. When he was home, he liked to relax and watch football.
Besides his beloved wife, Alma, of 40 years, Jim leaves behind his son James Peter Castiola of Boston; his stepdaughter Lisa Mariotti of Bristol; his sisters, Stephanie Mensel of Bristol and Theresa Luther of Terryville; his grandsons, Joshua Angelillo of Berlin and Jake Mariotti of Wolcott; his great grandsons, Levi, Crosby, Tucker, and Whitton and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Jim was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, John and Edward Castiola.
