Helene Radjeski-Edwards

Helene Radjeski -Edwards of Vernon, age 82, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025. She was born on March 1, 1943, to Francis and Helen (Godamowitz) Radjeski.
She was a Terryville High School and the University of Hartford graduate in Health Administration.  In her younger years she worked as a nursing home administrator displaying a wonderful level of care and respect to the residents. After marrying her love William Edwards in 1996, they were outgoing and loved exploring, going on cruises and camping in the national parks throughout the United States. Besides the love of traveling, her family, writing, and her Belgian Malinois rescues, the latest being Duke, were her biggest passions. She was an accomplished writer under the pen name “Barbara Edwards” and always had the ability to make the characters in her books about her children.
She is survived by her husband, William, “Bill”; and son’s, William Piazza and wife Kate, Andrew Piazza and wife Dawn, James Piazza and wife Karen, Anthony Piazza and wife Debra, her daughter in law Esmerelda Piazza and 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Teresa Spahr, her son Stephen Piazza, her sister, Patricia Nadeau and her brother Francis “Eugene” Radjeski.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at St. Casimir Church, 17 Allen St, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Terryville. Family, friends, and others are invited to visit at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, to reminisce and honor the life of Helene, from 9am until leaving for church. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
