Helene Bycoski Obituary
Helene Bycoski, of Hartford, formerly of Terryville died Saturday (Aug. 24, 2013) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford.
Helene was born in Terryville, CT. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Lottie (Kalisz) Bycoski. Prior to her retirement she was a 3rd. grade schoolteacher at Holy Cross School in New Britain, and then at St. Joseph School in Bristol. Helene was a communicant of St. Casimir Church, Terryville. Helene's main passion was her family to whom she was very dedicated during her life especially in caring for her father. Helene had many interests. As an avid traveler, Helene visited Europe multiple times and even spent several weeks in India. She enjoyed her summers off at the shore in Old Saybrook. She delighted in leisurely lunches and golf dates with her many friends as well as dancing on Saturday nights. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. She spent her last years living with her loving brother, Cass, in Hartford.
Helene is survived by her brother, Casmir Bycoski of Hartford; her sisters, Carolyn Mucha of New Britain, Bernice Kras of West Hartford and many nieces, nephews, grand neices and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Ann Kensiski and her brothers, Walter, John and Joseph Bycoski.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, (August 30,2013) 11:00AM from the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville to St. Casimir Church, Terryville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Terryville. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening (August 29,2013) from 5PM to 7PM. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
