Helen C. Grabowski

Helen C. Grabowski, 96, of Terryville, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023, at home. She was born June 23, 1927, in West Rutland, VT, daughter of the late Casimir and Stella (Tyminski) Grabowski.

Prior to her retirement, Helen was employed by the Town of Plymouth for 53 years. Her work ranged from the mayor’s secretary to the Welfare director and then Comptroller. Helen was a woman of strong faith and a communicant of St. Casimir Church. Helen was a member of the Women’s Guild, the Rosary Society and she served on many town committees.

Helen is survived by her sister-in-law Dolores Grabowski; her nieces and nephews and their families. She was privileged to have a best friend, Regina Murawski for over 80 years. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her siblings, Josephine Delekta, Theresa Grabowski, Henry Grabowski and brother-in-law William Delekta.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 7, 11AM at St. Casimir Church, 17 Allen St, Terryville. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, is assisting with arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
