Hanna (Martin) (Leger) Tucker

Hanna (Martin) (Leger) Tucker, 92, of Bristol, wife of the late Edward Tucker, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Pines of Bristol. She was born February 26, 1933, in Germany, daughter of the late Karl and Babette (Preiss) Martin.

Hanna graduated from a three-year nursing school in Germany as a nurse in Pediatrics and Newborns. She worked in a military hospital in Wurzburg in the nursery and delivery unit and worked a private duty as a nurse in Switzerland. Hanna immigrated to the US in 1960 where she became a loving and adoring mother. She loved cooking for the holidays and having family dinners. Prior to her retirement Hanna was employed at Countryside Manor in Bristol, where she had started at the bottom but worked her way up to Director of Social Services. After retirement, she brought back her love for children and worked at the learning center in Terryville. She was also a member of Holy Trinity Church in Terryville.

Hanna leaves behind her sons, Michael Leger of Bristol, Marty Leger of Terryville and Chris Leger of Terryville; her daughter Barbara Radcliff of Bristol; she was Oma to her 9 grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Carl, Nathan, Sarah, Kyle, Kurt Gretchen and Doug and her 6 great-grandchildren, Cole, Aiden. Lainey, Hannah, Liza and Jaxxon. Besides her parents, Hanna was predeceased by her husband Edward.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Pines of Bristol for always bringing out Hanna’s wonderful smiles, laughter and singing.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025, 11 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 8 Maple St, Terryville.
