Gregory R. Wildman, 60, of Terryville, husband of Nancy (Pinckney) Wildman, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, surrounded by his family. He was born March 17, 1963, in Baltimore, MD, son of Margaret “Peggy” (Mahan) Wildman of Danbury and the late Harvey R. Wildman.
Greg graduated from Danbury High School, class of ’81, and went on to graduate from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD with a degree in finance. He was employed by Big Y Foods, Inc. as a produce specialist. Prior to Big Y, Greg was a produce manager for A&P Super FoodMart for 25 years. He enjoyed playing golf and growing a beautiful vegetable garden every year at his house. He and the family would often take trips to Ocean City, MD. Greg was an all-around family man, and loved his kids more than anything.
Besides his mother and his loving wife of 36 years, Greg is survived by his children, Robert, Jenna and Joseph Wildman of Terryville; his brother Douglas Wildman and his wife Dora of Little River, SC; his sister Karen Stafford and her husband Jim of Roseville, CA; his sister-in-law Linda Diefenbach and her husband Douglas of Danbury; his uncle Wilson Mahan of Casa Grande, AZ; his aunt Kathy Wildman of East Wallingford, VT; his mother-in-law Gloria Pinckney of Danbury and several nieces, nephews cousins and extended family. Greg was predeceased by his father Harvey and his uncle Robert Wildman.
Family and friends may visit the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 10AM to 12PM, with a service at 12. Burial will be in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury, at the convenience of the family. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
