Glen Peter Long

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing Mr. Glen Peter Long, 57, of Bristol CT. Glen lost his courageous four-year battle with cancer and died peacefully September 3, 2021 surrounded by his family and with the love of his life and soul mate Kathy Zovich by his side. Glen's love of life was immeasurable, his strength, sense of humor, and positive attitude never waned no matter how dark the days became. Glen entered the world on September 14, 1963, in Bristol CT.  A loving son to his father the late Wilfred Long and mother Loraine (Rodrique) Long. He was a graduate of Terryville High School and a member of Immaculate Conception Church. He was employed as a foreman for CGM Acoustics and worked in the carpentry construction field for over 35 years. Glen was an accomplished auto mechanic and racing fan (24). He loved nature and caring for his plants and garden. He was a collector of firearms and an avid hunter and fisherman, a lover of animals, and was quite the Yahtzee player. Above all, Glen was a proud father of two boys he loved with all his heart and grandfather "pepere" to his beautiful granddaughter Krystyna May Long.

Glen leaves behind his sons Brett Long (Sylvia Garcia) of Terryville CT and Justin Emons (Catherine Demur) of Suffield CT. His granddaughter Krystyna May Long, his fiancée Kathy Zovich of Bristol CT, his brothers Allen Long Sr and wife Cindy of FLA, Steven Long and wife Lori of SC, Kevin Long of ME, the late Brian Long, sister Karen Fowora, and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.  Glen was a father figure to Mike Kalinosky and also leaves his best friend Paul Denoncourt and wife Katie; Glen (G1N) and Kim Girard, and man's best friends Rose and Bailey.
