George Leigh Minor, 90, of Bristol, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the Pines at Bristol. He was born February 20, 1934, in Bristol, CT, during the big blizzard. He was the son of the late Leigh and Blanche (Clark) Minor.
George grew up on the family farm and started helping at a young age. He graduated from Bristol High School and then received a degree from the UCONN School of Agriculture and was a farmer throughout his entire life.
George leaves behind his sister, Elizabeth Baker and her husband Ronald of Bristol; his niece Linda Hart and her husband Scott of Farmington; his nephew David Baker and his wife Nicole, of Bristol; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sarah Parracino and her husband Jeffrey, Kirsten and Makayla Hart and Austin and Kyle Baker; his great-great-nieces, Brooke and Bailey Parracino and numerous close friends. Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his nephews, Steven and Jonathan Baker.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Prospect United Methodist Church, 99 Summer St, Bristol, CT, 10 AM. Family and friends may visit at the church from 9:30 until the service. Burial will be in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol, at the convenience of the family
