Francis Peter Foley, 87, of Thomaston, husband of the late Arlene (O’Connor) Foley, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025, at Cook Willow Health Center, Plymouth. He was born September 10, 1937, in Lynn, MA, son of the late Frank and Alice (McHugh) Foley.
Peter was a business teacher at Thomaston High School for 38 years and retired in 2000. He was a parishioner at St. Thomas Church, Thomaston. He loved his family and will be missed dearly.
Peter leaves behind his sons, Kevin Foley and his wife Emily of Walpole, MA and Craig Foley and his wife Melissa of Terryville; his beloved grandchildren, Meghan and her fiancée Collin Short, Libby and Erin Foley, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 12, 11 AM, at St. Thomas Church, 1 E. Main St, Thomaston. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Thomaston. There are no calling hours. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is assisting with the funeral arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Danbury Animal Welfare Society (www.daws.org) in lieu of flowers.
