Francis “Reggie” Doucette, 81, of Terryville, husband of Gloria (Duchaine) Dade Doucette, passed away September 6, 2024, peacefully in his sleep. He was born April 21, 1943, in Bristol, son of the late Vital and Jeannette (Chasse) Doucette, and was a Bristol resident before moving to Terryville.
He retired from Tomassetti Canada Dry Bottling in 2011, after working there for many years. Prior to that he worked for Pepsi-Cola in Bristol, CT. Reggie served in the United States Air Force and was a past commander of the DAV in Bristol. He was also a member of the Bristol Polish American Club and the American Legion, Post 20, in Terryville. He was an avid pool player and dart player. He will be forever in our hearts.
Besides his wife, Reggie is survived by his two daughters, Christine and Valerie; his stepdaughter, Michelle Dade and his adopted grandson, Seth, who Reggie has raised since he was a toddler, and several other grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He also leaves a close friend, Joe Langer. Reggie was predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Constance, Mildred, Jeannine, Geraldine, and Joan; his brothers, Wilfred and Claude; his stepson, Robert Dade and stepdaughter Kimberly Dade.
